Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park
Sea.Hear.Now Festival brings together live music, surfing, visual art and beach culture on the New Jersey shoreline. Launched in 2018, the annual festival grew from Asbury Park's creative identity and is closely associated with photographer and co-founder Danny Clinch. Its beachfront setting pairs performances with a surf contest, art installations and boardwalk traditions.
The supplied event listing is for Sea Hear Now Festival: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, The Gaslight Anthem, Trey Anastasio Band & Norah Jones - Sunday, dated September 15, 2024, at Asbury Festival Area. The listed performers reflect that event's bill; they should not be confused with the separately announced 2026 lineup. Sea.Hear.Now is a festival rather than a single-artist tour, so its setlists and performances vary by edition.
The festival's connection to Asbury Park is part of its appeal: audiences gather by the ocean in a city with a strong music heritage, while the surrounding boardwalk and local arts culture contribute to the weekend atmosphere. The festival has been described in recent coverage as a late-summer destination that blends established acts, newer performers, surfing and art.
Venue and Seating Information
Asbury Festival Area is an outdoor, waterfront festival setting rather than a conventional seated arena. The festival format uses stages on the sand and in the park, so guests should expect to move between performance areas and spend time on sand, boardwalk, paved paths or gravel. Comfortable footwear and clothing suited to changing outdoor conditions can make a full day easier.
There is no fixed seating chart or universal “best section” for this type of festival. Viewing conditions depend on the stage, crowd size and arrival time; guests seeking a closer view should plan to reach their preferred stage early, while those prioritizing space may prefer to watch from farther back. Check the event's current accessibility information for details on accessible entrances and viewing areas.
Parking Information
Parking availability, prices and restrictions can vary by event day, and no specific lot or rate is confirmed in the provided information. Asbury Park's waterfront location can attract substantial festival traffic, so allow extra time and verify current municipal and event-day parking guidance before travelling.
- Look for legal public parking options in Asbury Park and check posted signs for time limits, payment requirements and any event restrictions.
- Consider parking farther from the waterfront and walking to the festival area if nearby spaces are limited; account for the distance and outdoor terrain.
